Who is our enemy?
Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places (NLT).
Ephesians 6:12- King James Version
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Principalities- ἀρχή archḗ, ar-khay'; from G756; chief (in various applications of order, time, place, or rank, principle, rule.
2 Corinthians 4:4 calls satan the prince of the power of the air.
Powers- ἐξουσία exousía, ex-oo-see'-ah; from G1832 – Governing authority, governors
Rulers of darkness- κοσμοκράτωρ kosmokrátōr, kos-mok-rat'-ore; from G2889 and G2902; a world-ruler, an epithet of Satan:— lord of the world, prince of this age:
Spiritual Wickeness- πονηρία ponēría, pon-ay-ree'-ah; from G4190; depravity, i.e. (specially), malice; plural (concretely) plots, sins:—iniquity, wickedness.
Know your God- Daniel 11:32- KJV but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Know your position- Ephesians 2:6 KJV And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Know your enemy- 2 Corinthians 2:11ESV so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.
Some of the most common adversary’s tactics include fear, intimidation, deception, accusation, illnesses, disunity, etc.
This adversary, is clever, crafty, deceptive and dangerous (1 Pet. 5:8). He will observe our weakness, listen to our confessions, contaminate our beliefs, and exploit our emotions, in order to take great advantage against us.
